Recently I needed to modify the WordPress database directly for troubleshooting purposes and couldn’t find the credentials I used when I installed it (it had been a few years).
Luckily this information is available in text format (PHP file) via FTP.
Where to find your database credentials for WordPress.
FTP into the root of your WordPress installation and open the file called “wp-config.php”
